EVENT INFO
In 2025 we set out to organize the first ever Stars, Stripes and Speed event. Our goal from the beginning was to create an automotive event unlike any other in our area. We wanted to be able to provide something for everyone, whether it be the cars racing on track, the huge car show, drifting exhibition, unique contests and entertainment, food and retail vendors or the huge fireworks display to wrap up the event on Saturday night. You all supported us and our dream, and we are excited to offer event more to you all in 2026!

Located at the iconic Watkins Glen International, Stars, Stripes and Speed offers a sprawling and picturesque venue for automotive enthusiasts to gather and celebrate the passion for cars and speed.

Stars, Stripes and Speed Burnout Competition
🏁New for 2026!!!🏁
This is an Aussie style burnout competition meaning you will be judged based on smoke, style, movement and skill!
If interested you must submit your vehicle for review/approval as soon as possible, once approved you must pre-register for the competition. To submit your vehicle email cody@hookedondriving.com
💲Cost to enter $100 – Limited to 20 vehicles💲
🏆Prizes
- 1st Place = $1,000 + Trophy
- 2nd Place = $400
- 3rd Place = $100
🔞Drivers Must be 18 years of age.
Requirement below for ALL Burnout Contestants
✅Safety
- Helmet is required, a minimum of SNELL 2015 or better helmet
- Seats belts or harnesses are required
- Closed toe shoes required, fire retardant shoes, gloves, fire suit and head sock recommended but not required
- Vehicle firewall must be complete and without holes into driver compartment
- Must have on board fire extinguisher accessible
- Fireworks or any form of pyro is not permitted
✅Engine
- Hot fluids must be contained under the hood
- Engines must be flushed and run water ONLY for coolant (NO Antifreeze)
- No Nitromethane
- No Nitrous
✅Battery
- Battery must be securely tied down
✅Wheels and Tires
- No hubcaps/wheel trim or wheel weights are permitted
- Wheels must be steel or forged
- Tires must be free of rot/weather checking, no winter treads and must not be showing cords prior to burnout comp.
- Colored tire smoke highly encouraged
✅Competition Rules
- Burnout shall not begin until instructed by an event official
- No standing burnouts, vehicles must remain in motion or will be disqualified
- Driver must STOP immediately if instructed by event staff
- No passengers allowed
- Burnouts are limited to 1 minute and 30 seconds. When time is up you must exit the area promptly
- Judging will be based on instant smoke, constant smoke, volume of smoke, driving skill and use of the skid pad area
- Burnouts will be judged by crowd engagement and judging panel
- Point deductions for wall contact, vehicles spilling fluids or vehicle breakdowns
- Any vehicle backing up will result in automatic disqualification.
